Royal British Legion Club shuts after 20 years

 30th Jun 2015

The West Lulworth Royal British Legion Club which operated from premises in Church Road, West Lulworth with 60 members has been forced to close its doors after failing to renew its Royal British Legion Club Licence which in turn resulted in the loss of the Club Premises Licence to serve alcohol.

David Meany of Ashtons, the appointed Liquidator said “It is disappointing to see the Club, which has formed such a large part of the local community and which has been social outlet and valuable fundraiser for Ex-Servicemen close after 20 years.” It is understood that the former members have been offered the opportunity to transfer their membership to the Bovington Royal British Legion Club.
