Historic Hotel Management Company Liquidated

Starling Hotel Management Limited, which managed the 288 year old Kings Arms Hotel in Dorchester which featured in Thomas Hardy’s novel The Major of Casterbridge and the 16th Century Anvil Inn and Hotel at Pimperne, has gone into Liquidation with debts of circa £100,000.

The Liquidation follows the recent appointment of Property Receivers over the hotel and the pub which resulted in the termination of the management contract forcing the Company to cease trading overnight.

The principal creditors of the Company are understood to be trade suppliers, utility providers and HMRC in respect of outstanding PAYE/NIC and VAT.
